Growing Great Garlic Workshop

  • Saturday, October 10, 2020, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Fall is the best time of year in Upstate NY for planting garlic. Join CCE Horticulture Educators and Master Gardener Volunteers for this hands-on workshop in the garden! We will go through the steps in selecting garlic varieties, planting, caring for, harvesting and curing. Each participant will receive 10 garlic seeds for planting at home. Additional garlic seed will be available for purchase at $2 a head. Are you curious what you soil pH is? Bring along a cup of dry soil from your garden site and we will test it for you and give recommendations as needed. Class will be at the Sustainable Living Center and Greenhouse in Central Park, Schenectady. Each person will have their own table and will be spread out for social distancing. Please wear a mask.

Rain Date: October 11, 12:00 - 2:00 pm
